My family settled in White River Junction when we arrived in the Upper Valley during the early 1970s and my first athletic memory is sitting with my father on the Hartford High football sidelines. Hurricanes quarterback Mike Stone ran past us for a touchdown and I was hooked.
After graduating from Hanover High in 1989, I earned a journalism degree at the University of Minnesota, where I was a student manager for the Golden Gophers football and hockey teams.
My first job was with the Los Angeles Times, where I covered high school and college sports for five years. I moved on to southeast Virginia, adding minor league hockey, baseball and soccer to my experience.
Back in the Upper Valley by 2009, I wrote about and photographed Dartmouth College and high school sports for 11 years.
This site is the culmination of countless hours at games and practices, in gyms and rinks and on ball fields grand and humble. I hope you enjoy its content as much as I enjoy creating it.
